The Team

Hi, I’m Holly, the owner of Holly’s Happy hounds. I’m thrilled to be combining my passion for dogs with my love for the outdoors in my dream job. Having been a lifelong dog owner, I truly appreciate the companionship and unconditional love dogs bring into our lives, as well as their positive impact on families. I truly believe a dog is “man’s” best friend and that is why I want to provide the best possible service for your beloved family members.

Before pursuing my passion for working with animals, I spent ten years as a teacher. This experience has equipped me with patience, responsibility, and the ability to nurture individual needs – qualities I now bring to my dog walking services. I am also an avid learner and constantly seek out new information about dogs – what makes them happy, their emotional and behavioural triggers, and the importance of making them feel loved and safe. Additionally, I am Canine First Aid trained and have completed diplomas in Pet Care and Dog training.

I share my home with a wonderful Labrador named Otis, whose presence has greatly influenced my decision to start this dog walking business. My experience with Otis has given me a profound understanding of the needs and behaviours of dogs, allowing me to provide a service that prioritises their well-being and happiness.

Meet Otis, our lovely Labrador and the heart of Holly’s Happy Hounds. Otis is a water enthusiast – he loves anything to do with water, and the muddier he gets, the better! His joyful spirit and welcoming nature make everyone feel at home. Otis’s favourite game is to be chased, and he never misses an opportunity to turn a walk into an exciting adventure. His playful energy and loving disposition perfectly embody the values we uphold in our dog walking service. Whether he’s splashing in puddles or greeting new friends, Otis is always ready to spread happiness and fun. Otis has completed his level 1 in Sniffer dog training, he passed with flying colours. Otis loves learning new skills and tricks, I look forward to completing more training with him soon.
